We read read and read then forget and forget most of the stuff. We are always told to memorize but what is the best way to do is never the part of the discussion. This method will be beneficial for those who are preparing for competitive exams. The time is less and you can't afford to forget what you have read.
I request readers to go through the post of studying effectively (Put the link here) first then only go through this one. This method of revising will work effectively when combined with my method of effective studying.

Revision- A way to save time and energy
A part of the study is to retain what you have studied so that you can vomit it out during the exam of viva and I think this is the most essential part to score good marks. Unless you are Sherlock the only way remains is to revise.
But at times we find it really boring to revise the stuff what we have read. Some of us really poor at this part they just can't recollect during the exam even after the revising. That is because the method itself was wrong. Right all of us are going through it but over the period of time after the lot of R&D, I could realize with proper tools and techniques how to make revision effective and enjoy also.

1.Advance Level Study Technique for 25/5 or 50/10.
Assuming you know the way, 25 minutes study then take a 5 min break.(If not please read 3 Ways for Smart Study)
So when you start studying in the first 3-5 minutes what you should do is close the books or notes and try recollecting what you studied just before slotting of 25 min before the break. So to summarize first 3-5 minutes should go into revising what you just studied in the last slot of 25 min. Please remember while revising close the notebook.

How it works?
1.When we give the exam that time we don’t have our notes with us but the way we generally revise by keeping the notebook in front of us is incorrect. We have to train our brain to recollect the information in the absence of the notes.
2. Generally when we study our brain doesn’t retain everything unless forced to do so. But when we revise everything while studying itself the brain will retain the information.
2. Make revision Chart:-
The memory of a human being is like a young infant which needs extra care and attention in the initial stage. Same goes with the memory initially you have to give extra care by revising more frequently. But once the memory becomes a permanent memory then no need to revise.

Make a chart like this.
- Whatever you study on what date has to fill in the first two columns
- Now you will have the track of what you have to revise and when.
- IF the duration is big in between the revision then you have to put again the same energy to understand it again.
- But if followed properly then at each revision your time of revision will also reduce. After a month it would be hardly a few minutes and the topic is down for you.
Tips:-
1. This method of chart making is really effective if you have the very large syllabus to cover especially for competitive exams or semester exams.
Please see the below table to get the rough idea how time will be saved by tracking your revision.

Note:-
How many times to revise and after how many days to revise that has to be decided by the individual as per his hold on the topic.
3.How to make revision not boring rather enjoyable
- Following ways can be adopted for the revision.
- Try to solve advance level problems of the topic or read the advance level literature of the same topic
- Teach it, someone.
- Go to a pro of the topic and let him ask you a difficult question.
- Even while revising keep a target of a time limit.
- Give a mock test.
The principle is to give the mind a little difficult challenge than last time to make the process of revision fun. Use your own creative ways to revise.
